WHAT MAY I BE

I am also somewhat stumped. The lighting and position of the bird make it hard to tell. About how big was it? Was there water nearby? Can you tell me if the feet were lobate (something like this [link] though the lobes might be more or less pronounced)? I don't think I've ever seen this species in this plumage before; perhaps it is a juvenile? I'm leaning towards juvenile Sora, though some things about this look different than pictures I've seen of juvenile sora, so I'm fairly uncertain. If you saw and could describe the feet and/or front breast area of the bird that would help. Any other details too.
